Ms. Wong received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Wong participated in the Refugee and Immigration Advocacy Clinic where she provided representation to limited–English speaking immigrants and refugees in the area of public entitlements and citizenship. Ms. Wong also clerked with the King County Superior Court of Washington where she worked on the Washington Defenders Immigration Project in providing judicial training on immigration matters affecting non–citizen criminal defendants. Ms. Wong was the recipient of the American Immigration Law Foundation’s (AILF) Dubroff Award which promotes scholarship and excellence in analytical writing on U.S. immigration law. Her award–winning article entitled “The Internal Flight Alternative: Mobility of Women Limited by Spatial and Social Constraints,” was later published in Bender’s Immigration Bulletin.
